Collection: Welcome to The Talkback Switch!

Back in 2010, we needed a special foot switch for our talkback mic.

This is the microphone musicians use to communicate with each other on stage using in-ear monitors [they're usually faced backwards] Typically by the drums.)

Only certain band and crew members can hear these microphones. This is because their custom ear buds block out a majority of the sound around them.

There were a few options we tried, but their cheap construction, and plastic parts, left us dealing with constant issues... and lots of failures and repairs.

This is where the Talkback Switch was born. A foot switch to mute the Talkback microphone until the foot switch is stepped and held down. Release and back to muted. This cleaned up our in-ear mix drastically. Noteworthy the huge decrease in cymbal wash from the drummer. (Sorry drummers, but it's true!)

We designed MOMENTARY foot switches. This means that when you step and hold the button down, it opens the mic and makes it live. When you step off and release the button, it mutes the mic again.

These switches do not "click and. stay on".
